Advice for Collecting Organic Food Coupons...How to find free organic coupons

Finding online organic food coupons can sometimes be quite difficult and time consuming. Many of the farms and co-ops that produce organic food do not have the marketing budgets to participate in coupon distribution programs, like in a national Sunday newspaper. So coupon clipping in the traditional sense may not be as fruitful (no pun intended). In addition to our online collection of organic coupons we have some tips for organic coupon hunting.

1. Make sure your printer is connected to your computer and working properly. Many online coupon resources limit the number of times a coupon can be printed per month/year.

2. Before you print the online organic coupon read the website to see if the coupon has an expiration date so you use it in time. You can also highlight the expiration date on the online coupon and/or file the coupon according to when they have to be used by.

3. When you find an organic food that your family enjoys look to see if the manufacturer lists a website. Visit the website and see if they offer coupons online. If they do not offer coupons online, use the "contact" information to email a request for a coupon. Be sure to include your full name, mailing address, email and it does not hurt to say how much you enjoy the product.

4. Before printing out an online organic food coupon, read any special notes regarding system requirements to see/print coupon. Also, make sure you are using a supported browser to access the coupons and your pop-up blocker is off or enabled for that web page.

5. Check the Sunday newspaper circulars for printed organic food coupons.

6. Many grocery stores such as Sprout and Whole Food Market print up a free magazine that is at the checkout counter. You seem to see these especially around holidays. Those are a wonderful resource for free coupons.

7. Before going to the grocery store, visit the store's website for weekly circulars and specials.

8. Set up a free Gmail account for your coupon emails, so you do not bog down your usual email account. Then sign up for as many newsletters as you can find. Almost all of the online organic food companies offer newsletters which almost always include special offers.

9. Keep a list of the foods that your family eats every month. For example my children always eat organic raspberries, organic blue berries, organic peanut butter, organic cliff for kids Z bars, organic bananas, horizon organic lactose free milk. (I will try to upload my basic list we use and you can add to it your foods to help you shop smarter.) So each month or week (depending on the store) put out their coupons and specials I make a mark next to the organic food where to buy it. Then when I am out running errands and already in the area of the store, I look at the list to see what I want to buy there with the stores coupon or special. You would be shocked how much money you can save buying organic food that way. The same exact brand and size of organic peanut butter could be on sale for $3.59 at one store and at regular (non-coupon price) $6.59 at another store. If you are out already why not save the $3.00?

Shop Smart, Not Hard.

Use organic coupons to save money and time from driving around to several stores looking for deals. There is really no need to shop till you drop...if you shop smart.
